why Islam is named Islam?

Why Islam is named Islam???
Religions on Earth adapt their names from many sources. There are a lot, for instance, that their adapt their names from the people who founded or sourced the religion, or a certain tribe that were the first to embrace and propagate the religion. For the example, Christianity for instance was adapted from Jesus Christ, Buddha from Gautama Buddha and Jewish from the Jews.
This is different from Islam. The name was not taken from anyone`s name, or from the people who embraced it. Rather, the people who embrace Islam are called Muslims, from the word Islam. The name Islam brings about the meaning or the core principle of Islam itself. Islam means submission to the orders of the one and only god to remain loyal and obey what has been taught to us by the Prophet Muhammad and to leave out what is prohibited by Allah.

A few Tit-bits About Islam.
No pictures, no idols, no symbols, and then what do Muslims pray to?
Why so much movement in their prayers??

The Unseen Creator
Muslims pray to The Unseen Creator who created everything. His power to create is limitless. All the needs to say is ‘Kun Fayakuun’-“be”, and its comes into existence. Everything came from Him and will return to Him.
He does not have a son, and was not fathered by anyone. He has no partners, and is unlike anything that human mind can imagine. The Arabic word for God or The Unseen Creator is Allah. Some say that when we drink the water, we must remember the person who dug the well. The aims of a Muslim’s prayer are to remember and be grateful to Allah the Merciful, The Creator of the water and the person who dug the well.

Sample Exercise
Prayer in Islam is a sample activity that consists of a series of body postures and recitation of The Noble Quran. It is an environment-friendly prayer and does not require making offerings. Allah is self-sufficient and has no needs. Indeed, each movement in the prayers has a meaning.
For example, the takbir, or the act when the Muslims rise up their hands upward in line with their ears means submission to the one God, as one would say “Please, don’t harm me”, when they give up to someone. Many people who studied the prayers have embraced Islam just because of the pure logic and scientific claims it beholds. But that is another story.
